The kingdom

The Kingdom is Directed by Peter Berg. Peter Berg directed the movies, Hancock, Friday Night Lights, and the Rundown. It Stars Jamie Foxx, Chris Cooper, Jennifer Garner, Jason Bateman, Jeremy Piven. The movie is about an American born oil workers living in a Saudi Arabian guarded compound who are attacked by terrorist. A group of U.S. Agents go to investigate the incident.

I've never seen the movie, Friday Night Lights and I don't remember the movie The Rundown staring The Rock and Seann William Scott but I did see and liked the movie Hancock. So with that in consideration, this movie does live up to his standards of a movie director. It was full of exciting action sequences, and a really cool concept for a movie. The acting in the most part was decent except for the sometimes stupid look on Jennifer Garner's face And the almost looks like he is going to laugh when he should look sad Jamie Foxx. The rest of the time Jamie was good at acting except for the drama parts, it kind of made the movie look like a b production film on those scenes. The rest of the scenery was magnificent. I couldn't tell that this was filmed in Arizona and not in Saudi Arabia. I thought the movie was for the most part fun and entertaining and I would recommend watching it.

The Hills - The First Season

This is just a big load of gossip straight in your face. This show is a MTV Which my is catered to girls around the universe. This is basically a scripted reality TV show. I had to look it up, because the film work really makes you think that this is a reality TV show, and even the actors make it seem like it is a reality TV show. BUT it's not. So this is perfect for anyone who like the simple life with Pairs Hilton. The basis of this show is these two girls move from a sate in the us where there is a country theme, and move to Hollywood. They both go to a fashion school and get jobs in the entertainment industry. All the girls are pretty much hotties, and some are sluttier then others. They are girls who never had to work a day in their lives, and really looks like they were pampered little princesses who got anything they wanted. NOW people ask them to do simple jobs and they don't understand why they get yelled at when they are late for work, or when they sneak their friends into a club. Get your friends to sit and drink in the V.I.P lounge where your boss told you to guard, and let nobody in. Your friends drunk, yelling and making a big scene and when your boss yells at you the next day have be surprised that your boss is angry at you? I find that hilarious even if it is scripted. These people make me feel good about myself that if they can survive in this world , I can do anything. This show is just full of gossip and good old humours. I wouldn't say this is a great show, but it's entertaining if you are bored.

Exiled

I didn't ... I couldn't watch this whole movie. It was so cliche that I turned it off maybe half way threw the movie. Usually in the gun battles I hope that the protagonist lives, but in this movie I was hoping that they all died!!! The acting was stale, the gun battles had more drama in them then action. The characters were poor excuses for tough guys. I think everyone in this movie got acting lessons from Keanu Reeves and the action scenes choreographed by Jon Heder a.k.a. Napoleon dynamite. sure some parts look really cool, and I kind of thought some parts were going to be good. but This movie looks like the director saw some gangster movies, and dosen't understand english well and just threw in the cliche phrases they say in those movies. Basically if you want to see a bunch of gangster movies all mixed together and acted out by asians check out this movie. I rate this movie as the dalai lama of my dvd player, EXILED!!!!

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

If god hated you, this is what would he would do. This movie is based on a story of a freak child born as an "old man" baby, and grows up to age younger. The movie stars every woman's dream man, Brad Pitt, and some actress I don't really know Cate Blanchett. This Movie starts out really weird, when Brad Pitt is born as an old man and is taken care of a black family who run an old folks home. everyone thinks he is an old man, but he has a brain of a young child, and he falls in love with a young girl. It's kind of creepy but fitting for the story. The rest of the story was pretty interesting. The adventure when he goes on the tug boat was my favourite part of the movie, and if it was just about that I think I would of really liked the movie. But, it wasn't. This was more of a boring love story, where the girl he like, went and lived her life, as a dancer, and this freakazoid loved her. She waits until he becomes older and her younger, then she wants a relationship with him. basically the movie is just a freak of nature, who falls endlessly in love with a girl who dosen't love him. I thought the movie was too long, and the was saved by the ending, which was up lifting and really well done. The closeing sequnce really pull the movie together and makes the movie. This movie like the movie Smart people are both intelligent ideas, but that is about it. They are only good ideas, and not movies.I hope I don't ever watch this almost 3 hour long movie again.

smartpeople

this is a movie based on an college professor's life and how his accomplishments get in the way of him not being a duche bag. Kindof like Kanye West, and him being a royal duche bag. The movie stars, Dennis Quaid, Sarah jessica parker, Ellen Page from the hit movie Juno. and Thomas Haden Church. It was released in 2008 and I always wanted to see this movie , but knowing, nothing about the movie. I thought that this movie wasn't very good. it had odd characters, and was a different type of story. It seemed more like an independent type of movie then an Hollywood movie. but overall, I lost empathy for the main character, and really for the whole cast. it seemed like they had a good chemistry, but things didn't really flow well for me. there were too many major holes in the plot, that they really should of taken some time to explain and instead focused on things that didn't really matter. maybe I just have no interest in a movie like this or the characters themselves, because mostly if you find people like these. They are genuinely not fun to be around, and watching a movie about them. meh. I don't think I would ever watch this again. oh, this movie is from the producer of the movie sideways..and I thought that movie was shit. but this one is alot better then that one.

District 9 Movie Review.

This is a movie written and directed by Neill Blomkamp, and produced by Peter Jackson. The background of Peter Jackson is that he produced The Lord of the Rings, which made him an house hold name and also the movie King Kong. He is now also taking on the up and coming projects Hobbit 1 and 2.

This movie cast has no super star
talent, and is basically with a crew of no name actors. Which I find refreshing, and gives the movie more of a mystery. with large mainstream actors in movies you get the in
knowledge that , that character is more then likely to survive and to play a major role throwout the entire movie. and that gives the movie more of a predictability
and to me is one of the most ruining things about movies. I hate watching a movie and you know what is going to happen next and you are just waiting for it to happen. it to me, makes the movie boring. stale.

This movie starts out as an documentary about a character who is very similar to Steve Carell's character in the hit TV show "The Office" . and meshes into an all out action movie with spectacular CGI effects. and ends with a major cliff hanger that ensures a sequel.

the synopsis of the movie is that extraterrestrial aliens come to earth for some unknown reason, and are due to circumstances are quarantined into a slum in South Afrca. The world knows all about the aliens and south Africans residents live and trade with the aliens. A weapons company is trying to conduct experiments and trying to understand the aliens technology. but the aliens who were stranded on earth are stupid and uneducated are no help to the humans goal. The government for some reason wants to relocate the aliens from their current slum to a new compound, and is flimed as adocumentary of a man who is enforcing the relocation.

First off, I just want to say "I loved this movie". I'm not a big fan of the office , but I sometimes really enjoy that awkward, office, or curb your enthusiasm humour. I find it very relaxing, and amusing. I don't find it side busting funny, but that isn't what I'm looking for when watching it. this movie doesn't keep the same pace as it dose threw out the entire movie. it starts out very slow and explains things threw a manner of you just following the conversation of the people, and not blandly explaining it. but it really open to anything and never really letting you know
what will happen next. the action scenes are amazing, and even though the main character fights in action scenes you can still see him changing and struggling with his transaction from a hugh wimp to become a fighter. The movie really gives you some big questions when watching and never tell you the answer to them. You will find it frustrating that these aren't answered, but also very satisfying because they give such a good cliffhanger to the sequel. This movie is a must see in my books if you are a fan of entertainment in movies. There is no real medicine in your ice cream in this movie, so they aren't really trying to send you a message and teach you anything from this movie. This is just pure entertainment. I enjoyed it, can't wait for the sequel.
